Crazy Football

FC Sækó is a football club for men and women with mental health problems, where exercise, fellowship and joy go hand in hand.

In spring 2025 we had a great visit from an RÚV film crew at our training for the programme Með okkar augum (Through Our Eyes). In the segment, chairman and co-founder Bergþór Grétar Böðvarsson talks about the great victory that lies simply in showing up on the pitch.

Trips & Other Projects

Trips and international tournaments are the highlights of the year at FC Sækó. From our first trip in 2014 to the E.A.S.I. Cup in Austria in 2025, we have used football to break isolation and build players’ confidence.

These projects give members the opportunity to shine in a new arena and create friendships that last a lifetime.
